American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases

The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) is the leading organization of scientists and healthcare professionals committed to preventing and curing liver diseases. AASLD's scientific educational symposia, developed by leading hepatologists, offers Continuing Medical Education and features expert speakers presenting the finest data in the most current and critical topics of liver disease.

Since their first Annual Liver Meeting® at the Hynes in 2002, AASLD found that Boston is an ideal location. They have returned to Boston six times and have rebooked for four more future years (2012, 2014, 2016 and 2019). They consistently draw exceptionally well in Boston with over 9,000 attendees and almost 18,000 room nights.

"AASLD always looks forward to hosting The Liver Meeting® in Boston where it feels like home. Our attendees like the convenience and access to the city all within a few steps of the Hynes Convention Center. Working with the Boston team feels like an extension of our own. Planning and execution of The Liver Meeting® is implemented with ease thanks to having the Boston team as a partner."

American Transplant Congress/World Transplant Congress

The American Transplant Congress (ATC) is the joint annual meeting of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) and the American Society of Transplantation (AST). It's designed for physicians, surgeons, scientists, nurses, organ procurement personnel and pharmacists who are interested in the clinical and research aspects of solid organ and tissue transplantation.

ATC has met at the Hynes in 2004 and 2009, with record-breaking attendance. Based on the success of these programs, ATC will return to Boston in 2012, 2016 and 2019. In 2009, they draw nearly 6,000 attendees and 13,700 room nights. In 2006, the World Transplant Congress was held in Boston at the Hynes Convention Center. This is a joint meeting of ASTS, AST, and The Transplantation Society (TTS), and is held every four years.

"The American Transplant Congress has experienced success and growth by holding its events in Boston. It is the perfect situation for medical meetings to convene. Boston offers great accessibility for attendees including European participants, so our international attendance is greater. Our attendees love the fact that the city's restaurants and cultural attractions are all so centrally located. Boston is also home to many prestigious hospitals and medical schools, so many professionals, fellows and trainees are located right there. And to top it off, the customer service Boston offers is among the very best. I've been spoiled."
